Matchup plays (1.5 units unless stated):

Robert Allenby to beat Adam Scott -108 @ Pinnacle
Both in similar form and have similarly impressive histories on this course, but Allenby is the better player in Australia. He has finished in the top-5 in 4 of 7 starts on this Tour in the last three years, while Scott's record is only 2 from 13. This course is a stern test of hitting greens in regulation and Allenby has a considerable advantage in this stat.
(available widely)

Scott Laycock to beat Steve Elkington -115 @ Five Dimes
Looks straightforward. Elkington has yet to complete an event since June, has a best finish of 17th this year and is a very rare entrant to Australasian Tour events. Laycock has recovered from a very disappointing first season on the PGA Tour to make the cut in five of his last six Tour starts and he finished 6th in the New South Wales Open two weeks ago. He has also finished 4th and 12th in his last two visits to Huntingdale.

John Senden to beat Richard Green -110 @ SkyBet [3 units]
Easy to oppose Green as well. He has not played in over nine weeks and when he last played, he was woefully out of form. He missed six of his last seven cuts on the European Tour. No comparison with a player who kept his PGA Tour Card with ease.
(also available at Paddy Power)

Nick O'Hern to beat Jarrod Moseley -120 @ Centrebet [3 units]
Backing the outright selection again. O'Hern and Moseley played in 18 common events in 2003 and on only three occasions did Moseley finish ahead of his opponent. Having also only finished ahead of O'Hern once in their last five visits to Huntingdale, this should be a win for the lefty.

Rod Pampling to beat Jarrod Moseley -125 @ Expekt [3 units]
If O'Hern should beat Moseley, then so should Pampling. He had a very profitable finish to the 2003 PGA Tour season to finish in 68th place in the Money List and though he has had a break for minor surgery, he is the better player whether rusty or not. He can at least claim a 3rd place finish two years ago on this course.

Rod Pampling to beat Steve Allan -118 @ Centrebet [3 units]
Allan can be thankful that two weeks in July secured his PGA Tour Card for next year as he has shown little else of the form that won him the 2002 Australian Open. He missed his last two cuts on the PGA Tour, finished only 13th in his only event since - the lowly New South Wales Open two weeks ago - and missed the cut on his last visit to Huntingdale.

Final update: 2-4-0; -7.88 units

Allenby/Scott WON by 1
Laycock/Elkington LOST by 7
Senden/Green LOST by 5
O'Hern/Moseley LOST by 11
Pampling/Moseley LOST by 2
Pampling/Allan WON by 1

Not very impressive. Two wins by a single shot and a large loss overall with Moseley along counting for over a 7-unit deficit.
