Australian PGA Championship

6 unit initial bet:
Peter Lonard to win 10/1
@ Bet365 & Tote
The price for the joint defending champion is unlikely to last, and has gone at several firms.
We may only be able to lay off slightly shorter but he has to have a major chance.

6 unit initial bet:
Rod Pampling to win 28/1
@ Coral
Don't forget to lay back before this evening as the event starts today at 19.30 (UK).

5 unit lay
@ Betfair:
Lay Pampling at 26
Lay Lonard at 9.6

Update @ 16.30 (UK):
So far, Betfair has seen bets totalling over £500 be matched on Pampling, and over £800
on Lonard, at up to the advised prices since the lay recommendations were posted.
So, our closing prices were never in danger of being too low and we have our enhanced bets:

1pt Pampling at 42/1
1pt Lonard at 16/1
.

Summary:
Damn!
Pampling never really looked like getting to Senior and only the latter's two closing bogeys made it close.
Even if it had been at a reasonable hour and live on TV, the laying of Pampling would have been virtually
out of the question as his odds would have been too high so as not to give any potential profit clean away.
So, Pampling 2nd, Lonard 5th ... good finishes again for us but still virtually no opportunities to make any money.
An unfortunate week here then, but a good run on Pampling at excellent odds and you can see that if we
can get these good odds on fancied players every week, a nice profit will be just around the corner.
