1-0; +6.00pts  (system plays: 5-4-1)

Round 1 play (6pts):

Joost Luiten to beat Alvaro Velasco +100 @ Bet365 [also available @ Unibet and Extrabet]  WON by 1
Velasco has finished 40th and 4th in the last two weeks, while Luiten has missed the cut in each of the last two weeks, but given that the Tour has now left the Middle East, form in that particular region should count for little. Instead, Luiten should again dominate as the better player - he has finished behind Velasco on just one other occasion since the start of 2009 - and particularly in India: Luiten finished 35th in the inaugural event last year; Velasco has never played in India previously and his sole previous start in Asia (2008 Indonesia Open) resulted in him missing the cut by some distance.

[unofficial rd1 system plays: Luiten tb Bhullar +110 (W); Bland tb Mamat -105 (L); Aphibarnrat tb Lahiri -120 (W); Ramsay tb Lahiri -160 (L); Howell tb Karlberg -133 (L); Wiratchant tb Johl -150 (T); Drysdale tb Tanihara -130 (L); Kruger tb Olesen -110 (W); Finch tb Dinwiddie -120 (W); Lafeber tb Jaini -120 (W)]
