Back from a short holiday and tasked with an event I am finding quite difficult to find some decent plays in. I am going to post just one 18 hole matchup pre-event and turn some of my initial thoughts into plays after observing the first round.

R1 18 Hole Match Bet.  Sell Marc Warren @ -1.5pts v Keith HORNE for 0.25pts with Sporting Index

My initial view was to buy the Finishing Position of Marc Warren, but the spread firms have made him a buy at 55 which is a little bit more than I tend to want to buy at, so have decided to oppose him in his R1 18 holer v Keith Horne. Of the six common events for these two players Warren has not managed a victory (3 ties and 3 losses), Warren has no location form to go on so this may also be a disadvantage for him, and his best R1 score this year is 74. I have a feeling he may go higher here.

MU -13 Profit +2.87pts

Finishing Position: Buy FP Richard Finch @ 51 for 0.5pts with Sporting Index

if there was a single FP play I was looking to before the tournament started it was to buy Finch. His R1 tee time, and expected better of the weather made me delay my play. He goes out that little bit later in r2 when if as expected, the wind will be at its strongest and now we can take advantage. Loss -0.5pt

Finishing Position: Buy FP Simon Dyson @ 49 for 0.5pts with Sporting Index

A slightly more risky play given Dyson's love for the Asian Tour, but based on the same principles as above. Loss -6.75pts
